It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Bolivia, Red Lake, and traditional musical instruments like the quena, siku/zampoña, and charango. My wife loves flamingos. The lake and the flamingos radiate a sense of calm, mystery and joy, which I wanted to capture in the song.
